Christmas comes to Meinhardt!

Christmas came early to the Meinhardt office in December as we celebrated with two festive events.

On 18th December Meinhardt staff took part in Christmas Jumper Day, an annual fundraising day set up in 2012 by the Save the Children organisation. The day is now one of the most popular fundraising events of the year, offering the opportunity to substitute work clothes for jolly Christmas jumpers, all in aid of a good cause. Meinhardt donned their wintry woollies to raise money for the vital organisations Save the Children, Macmillan Cancer Support and Make-a-Wish UK. There was tough competition in the office for the Best Jumper prize, but our senior mechanical engineer Dylan Dreyer came out on top with his 3D snowman jumper!

A few days later on 23rd December staff members were invited to bring their families into the office for the afternoon where they were met by a very special guest…Father Christmas himself! All the children got a chance to meet Santa and receive their own unique gift (courtesy of Meinhardt, with the help of tips from the parents). The children were thrilled with their presents, which ranged from a mini Lego helicopter to an interactive toy horse! It was fantastic getting to know everyone’s families over afternoon tea and watch the kids making friends over their new toys. The occasion was such a success we think a visit from Santa will become an annual Christmas event in the Meinhardt UK calendar!

After a restful break, we are now looking forward to what the New Year will bring – check back for news on current and future projects.

Wishing you all the best for 2016
