In The News – The Southwark redevelopment: Stoney Street

We have been featured in Building Magazine in connection to our role as M&E engineers on Wates’ potential £300m “Covent Garden-style” scheme next to Borough Market in London.

Wates is set to be named as the preferred bidder for the Stoney Street scheme designed by architect SPPARC for the area located immediately west of London’s world famous food destination.

The site, which also incorporates several rail arches, a car park and an old warehouse, is being revamped by developer Sherwood Street and investment fund manager Meyer Bergman.

The development will create 18,375m² of space, including 10,369m² of retail, 5,761m² of office space and a cinema. The scheme also proposes to regenerate a set of nearby railway arches and is set to revive the original Elizabethan street names to the area, such as Dirty Lane.
