Meinhardt Mo Bro’s raise £430 for Men’s Health
Just like Ricky Gervais, three noble men from 'the office' grew the manliest moustaches they could muster in order to help raise awareness for prostate/testicular cancer. Their aim was to “bring back the ‘tache” and raise money to support men’s health organisations.
The trio of engineers from Meinhardt, Ali, Ashley and Nathaniel, surprised even themselves by raising a grand total of £430 for the Movember Foundation. “Our target was £100. We thought we might just bump over, but everyone just rallied behind us”, Ali Baky (Team Captain) explained.
The Movember Foundation charity was founded in 2003 by two mates, Travis Garone and Luke Slattery, in Melbourne, Australia. Since then, the November take-over has grown in popularity. Today around 5 million ‘Mo Bros’ and ‘Mo Sistas’ around the world are involved in fundraising for the foundation, running numerous Movember events – to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity.
