The London-based company – which delivers engineering services in civil, structural, building services, façade and related disciplines – is sponsoring the new civil engineering classroom within the Innovation Lab.
A technology-hub for all things engineering, it was officially opened on the college’s Women in Engineering Day. Meinhardt representatives took part in giving 60 future female technologists from nearby Abbot’s Hill School an opportunity to get experience of working in engineering workshops.
The students took part in engineering activities, and representatives from Meinhardt and other companies provided careers advice about working in engineering.
Martin Taylor, Building Services Director at Meinhardt UK, comments: “As an engineering consultancy with almost 4,000 employees worldwide, we realise the future of the industry depends on supporting the next generation. We are sure the new classroom will inspire more young people to consider a career in civil and structural engineering, building services and related disciplines.”
