The Qur’anic Botanic Garden is proposed as a part of the Education City campus, Doha, Qatar. The site is located adjacent to the Oxygen Park, Heritage Garden and Sensory Garden, on the east side of the development.

The mission of the Qur’anic Botanic Garden is to promote a complete understanding of the plants, botanical terms & conservation principles mentioned in the Holy Qur’an & Sunnah by applying scientific innovations, building appreciation of cultural traditions and by creating a garden that will provide unique opportunities for learning.

Meinhardt’s design comprises a series of five thematically linked gardens, providing visitors with a symbolic journey that has been developed in conjunction with leading Islamic theological scholars, culminating in a tropical greenhouse.

The engineering teams worked closely with the Architect and Landscape Architect to deliver a humble and unintrusive experience to visitors whilst still meeting high technical standards as an exhibition space and emphasising the educational purpose of the project.
