Firmus Group appointed Meinhardt (UK) to undertake a feasibility study and conceptual design for a mixed-use development off Jamno Lake in the north of Poland. The development consists of an 18-hole Championship golf course, hotel and tourist development, commercial units and residential units covering 140 hectares.
The masterplan includes proposals for a network of canals and roads, marina areas, defined neighbourhoods of different architectural importance and a wetlands which will form part of the golf course.
The site includes 3,640 units, almost 240,000 m2 of gross floor area of commercial property and capacity for up to approximately 12,350 people.
The study and design included Mobility & Highways and Utilities & Infrastructure as well as Geology & Geotechnical, Hydrology & Flood Risk.
In order to advise the client team and assist with the masterplan, a first / last mile assessment of access of the proposed site by road and by the proposed canal system was undertaken. As a result of this assessment the canal network was modified, and the accessibility of the site improved and resubmitted for Zoning.
