This project involves the redevelopment of the Iconic 1950’s 27 storey Shell Centre on the South Bank of the Thames, London. Constraints include LUL tunnels below site and existing basement to be retained.

The plans are to build a cluster of eight buildings around the Shell Centre.

The scheme will comprise of approximately 800 residential units, office space, shops, new public spaces, restaurants and cafes and will offer improved pedestrian connections through the site.

Meinhardt carried out due diligence, construction phasing and temporary stability checks for the underlying tunnels, existing basement and new structures.
