Meinhardt (UK) Ltd have supported NEAT Developments and BlackRock on the Uplands Business Park mixed-use masterplan scheme in Waltham Forest redevelopment.

Located in the north-east of London, this 5.5ha site will provide up to 33,000m² of stacked industrial, as well as 5,000m² commercial space, and 1,800 new homes. The team provided a variety of multi-disciplinary services which included MEP, Energy and Sustainability, Structural, Geotechnical, Fire, and Civil Engineering services to support the planning application.

Meinhardt worked closely with the various stakeholders on the scheme including Environment Agency due to part of the site being located in Flood Zone 3a and also Thames Water for the Spine Tunnel Build over agreement. The team looked at solutions that would ensure Approval in Principle from the Stakeholders but also enable a flexible masterplan whilst always maintaining considerations for the commerciality of the scheme.
