The Ocean Mist project represents the remarkable transformation of a historic 1919 minesweeper into a luxurious floating boutique hotel.

Following three years of meticulous restoration and self-construction led by owner and entrepreneur Alan Pedley and his family, the vessel has been reimagined with exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Meinhardt contributed to the project by delivering the full design of the HVAC, electrical, power, lighting, and fire alarm systems, ensuring the ship’s modern comfort and safety while preserving its heritage character.

The Ocean Mist Hotel now welcomes guests, offering a unique and elegant hospitality experience on Edinburgh’s waterfront.
