Sabine joins Meinhardt (UK) with a well-rounded background in the curtain walling industry and façade consultancy, spanning a career of more than 38 years across design, manufacturing, system development and consultancy. She has led and delivered façade projects of many types and scales, including the BurJuman Complex and Tower in Dubai by KPF, One Thames City in Vauxhall with SOM and the 25 North Colonnade (Cargo, Crossrail Place) office refurbishment in Canary Wharf with Gensler.
Sabine has previously demonstrated her ability of leading multidisciplinary teams, delivering technically challenging projects and mentoring the next generation of engineers. Her work has consistently balanced technical performance and compliance, architectural intent, budget and programme across both new-build and refurbishment schemes, advising on innovative façade systems, emerging technologies and sustainable design strategies for UK-based and international projects.
Sabine is a technical committee member of both the Society of Façade Engineering (SFE) and the Centre for Window and Cladding Technology (CWCT), where she contributes to the review and development of industry guidance, including CWCT Technical Notes and relevant British and European Standards. These roles complement Meinhardt’s position on the Sponsor’s Board of the CWCT, further strengthening the firm’s influence and profile.
Sabine’s deep technical expertise, global project experience and long-standing reputation within the façade industry will add to the Meinhardt team’s rich experience in façade engineering.
Sabine Kleining said: “I am very excited to have joined Meinhardt UK and to be part of such a talented and committed façade team led by Simon Pierce. I strongly identify with the team’s core values – striving for technical excellence within a supportive, inclusive and welcoming environment, where everyone is encouraged and enabled to thrive and develop their careers. I look forward to contributing to the continued delivery of high-quality façade design and technical advisory services for our clients and the projects we support.”
Simon Pierce, Director of Façade Engineering at Meinhardt (UK), said: “Sabine’s contributions to our industry are clearly demonstrated through her rich and varied career, and she has quickly become a valued member of our leadership team.
